was erected by Alexander MacDonald of Glenaladale
in 1814, in the memory of the Highlanders who rose
to the Jacobite cause in 1745.
The story starts in 1743 at the Bridgend, a village outside
Of Perth, Scotland.
I have become so intrigued with the author and her
description of the Highlands that I just had to share
the beauty. The history of Scotland is wonderfully
written in this book. Scotland has suffered great tragedy
in it's history.
Hi Judanna,
ReplyDeleteI have always wanted to visit Scotland. My daughter and her family have and they loved it. The pictures are absolutely beautiful. Have a great weekend. Sue
